The Leadership Circle helps my coaching clients to see and understand the relationships between how they think, how they behave, and the impacts on their leadership effectiveness. While most 360° assessments only tell you what is or is not contributing to a leader’s effectiveness, the Leadership Circle also tell you why this is so. In other words, it provides coaching clients with causational insights into what is happening beneath the surface through a powerful visualization of the internal assumptions and beliefs that guides their behavior.

The Leadership Circle measures both competencies (Creative Competencies) and underlying assumptions (Reactive Tendencies). It integrates this information in a single graph to reveal a leader’s operating system and how it impacts his/her leadership effectiveness.

Creative competencies are well-researched competencies that contribute to a leader’s effectiveness. They measure how leaders achieve results, bring out the best in others, lead with vision, enhance their own development, act with integrity, and encourage and improve organizational systems.

Reactive tendencies emphasize caution over creating results, self-protection over productive engagement, and aggression over building alignment. These self-limiting styles overemphasize the focus on gaining the approval of others, protecting oneself, and getting results through high-control tactics.

Thomas-Kilmann Conflict Mode InstrumentThe leader in conflict resolution assessment for more than forty years

The Thomas-Kilmann Conflict Mode Instrument (TKI) helps people understand how different conflict-handling styles affect interpersonal and group dynamics. These insights enable clients to expand their awareness and options, and choose the appropriate style for any situation and get more effective results. 

As a certified practitioner, I use the TKI with groups to help them discover whether they might be over-using (a high score) or under-using (a low score) one or more of the five conflict handling modes: competing, collaborating, compromising, avoiding and accommodating.

The DiSC® profile is a non-judgmental tool used for discussion of people’s behavioral preferences and differences. 

The DiSC® model provides a common language that people can use to better understand themselves and adapt their behaviors within a work team, a multi-organization project, a leadership position, or other relationships.

I use DiSC® with individuals and teams, and help them interpret their personal report and develop strategies for working effectively with people with other styles.
